    You have a blog???

Don't give up yet Mary. How long ago did you mail it? Did the recipient have a PO Box by any chance? Maybe it got put in someone else's box and they haven't had a chance to return it. This has happened to me. I like to think most people are honest. It may turn up yet...I hope, I hope, I hope!

Jane, if you have any more questions, let me know. I have been working on the beach top. I made 5 blocks and decided to keep a couple for my beach quilt, so now I have to make some more. I need to go buy some yellow. I do not have the right color that I want. You know how you start with an idea and then you change your mind. LOL.

Who changes their mind? Is that like the weather lately?

Oh, I'm so glad you like it Mary! Sorry I didn't have enough room to photo all of the rows in your quilt. Maybe Sherry can do that but, if not, you'll be surprised when you get it!!!!! Won't be long now!!!

How large of a city is Prairie Village Sherry? Was looking at my copy of "Vintage Notions by Amy Barackman (also, of Indigo Junction fame) and noticed she lives there. Does she ever have seminars that you go to?

Yvonne, that row looks wonderful. You are so very creative.
I just look at your nighttime quilt wondering how you did all that beautiful work. I have started your row, but it's taken some time to get my ideas into fabric.

Barbara, I know exactly what you mean. Have spent more time ripping than sewing in the last 8 months. The worst part are the little pieces that often fray even when it's suppose to be high quality fabric you're working with. Thank you for the very kind words but I think there was a power much higher than me guiding my hand because I'm serious when I say I've never done anything like this before.

Sherry, Mary's quilt rows mailed today. They are insured for $125.00 . Please let me know when you get them...okay? Post office said you should receive them either Sat. or Mon. If you want to track you can go to USPS.com.

    Have a great day!

Mary, it is hard to find 30's repro fabric around here. Does anyone have any 30's repro fabric or scraps you could send me? I have a small scrap of blue and I know what I want to do with it, but I could use more. Thanks, Sherry

Sherry I'd be happy to share with you but 99% of mine are in the colors Mary said she didn't like (pinks, yellows, oranges and lavenders ). I do have some medium blue 1930's but you said you had blue. Sorry............

Yvonne, I only have a piece that is 11 1/2" by 3 1/2". What design does your medium blue have on it?

I have enough of the blue and white (as seen if you go back to my selvage log cabin block on the left side) to probably do one whole block. It's actually a little darker than what is showing in the picture. Then I have 2 other blue prints and maybe the equivalent of a fat quarter, maybe a little less of a white with little teeny red stars. If you look at my last block, it's called Spools and Bobbins, I have enough for probably another block of the green/blue with the brown polka dots...not sure if it's 1930's but Mary said it was okay if I stayed within her color range. Would any of these help?

Also have a few selvage pieces that might work if you need them to incorporate into a block like the others have used....let me know. Will send small scraps I have that you may be able to use for applique some way in reds, blues and blacks...and will be happy to send you some of my black and white tape measure fabric if you like.

I have loads of 30's fabrics but not much in Marys' colors. I could send you what I have left from what I used if you like. I could send you some red 30's FQ's - - -
