Still waiting on my new walking foot. It won't take me long to complete once I get it!

I just got my FMQ foot too. I'm debating a tryout on Nancia's runner. Don't think it'll be a good match for the project for this swap. Dunno, maybe I'm wrong. We'll see.

Dustysmom try it out on a scrap first is my suggestion. put some batting inbetween two piecesof something you hate and give it a whirl. this way you wont be plucking out crud on something you worked hard on. just a thought.

sandy love it. too many are you kidding me? I could have 12 more and not have enough. I am a total seasonal girl. I change for every single holiday/month. I like variety on my sideboard, coffee table, end tables dinner table bedroom dresser.. oodles of places for pretty tablerunners/mats. Greatest easy decoration change invented. Plus I hate hot coffee cups or plates directly on the furniture. instant white spots. get sick of ironing my table to get them out. got enough ironing with the quilt fabrics. my clothes are hopelessly wrinkled, not ironing clothes lol. priorities.

I am done. finished. totally done. binding done. which by the way is mindless work... I just finished 3/4 of a big lap quilt yesterday while in clinic. will finish the rest at home so I can take another quilt and do it there also on tues. easy way to spend 3 hours if your stuck there anyways right? and they have huge flouresent lighting which makes seeing what I am doing oh so much easier. If I dont remember light bulbs soon I will be sewing by braile as so many are just popping lately. three in the last week. talk about MOOD lighting. sheesh ..

oh happy days, today ya all should be one happy day. I wish the best for everyone and can't wait to see stuff posted. oh should I post mine since my pal doesnt know its me? I think the colors would give it away so.. nope. no can do.

oh oh last love the fruit. darned I do not have matching plates. mine are pink. I think the last time I matched plates to mats was .. never. or ok probably 20 yrs ago when I matched everything. now I just enjoy what it is regardless of matching. When my sis got married she asked for a set of china from everyone but only that it have flowers on the rim. she has 12 sets of unmatched china and she loves it. says you can never go wrong if you start out different. I would have croaked to do that then. I dont own china. easy not to worry about it

I can't decide if I want to sew or go to the movies tonight. Terrible conundrum! I have to decide fast though, because the movie we wanted to see starts in 25 minutes and we're 10 minutes from the theater, lol. Either way, I'll be sewing all day tomorrow. My son's car is back in the shop again. Rear break cylinders leaking. Took them 2 hours to get the parts and fix one side this after noon. They'll finish in the morning. Thank God for my employee discount! I think this $800 car has cost us way more than that in repairs in the last 2 years, and that's besides the wreck damage he did to it.

2 of my favorites are Don't rain on my parade, and Second-hand Rose. i love good healthy singin'. really feel the music and sing with conviction. and if you are a little uncertain of the words, use any you want. your shower, your song, your words! no song police in this shower i assure you. when dh and i shower together we don't sing. both of us like to sing but we have never found a key we can both sing in and it sounds ok. most of the time it's like a vaccuum, it, er, pulls it in, as it were, and so forth and so on. i'm usually pretty good at creating harmony, but not while singing with my sweetie, and we can't dance together either.

I sang competitively in high school, so I need something with a bigger voice to keep my vocal cords working. Yes, I sang solo too. So, I tend to sing songs with lots of range and changes in tempo, plus big notes with long holds. One of my favorite warm ups is the opening to the Evenescence song "Call Me When You're Sober" though. If I keep my vocal cords in shape, I can hit every note and the long hold at the end. I have a friend who is a piano and vocals teacher, who used to sing on Broadway 20 years ago. She sometimes gives me little things to work on also. My senior year of high school, I sang a song called"Lord, Send Me Anywhere" as my solo for state competition. I came in 4th. The girl who came in 3rd sang the same song, and was a former student of my teacher's. OMG is that song hard!

I usually turn on Pandora to my Christian Contempary station and sing to whatever is playing. I love Pandora, it can be free or you can subscribe for $3.99 a month, you can like or dislike songs, make your own stations based on your favorite artists.

drum roll... I sing Amazing Grace. I love to sing that in the shower. for years only shower song I sing. I pray no one is listening singing is not my best feature and would not win any contests at all but that is one place I can just sing and not worry. I sing all the time around the house and love to sing Italian songs and Spanish songs and well oldies like Dean Martin or Meryl Haggard but should I sing"? probably not. like ever. I am of the who cares attitude now .. age is marvelous. I can get away with so much more
