1. What's your favorite color? Yellow Worst color? Red
2. Fabric type - Batik, 30's, florals- who am I kidding? I love fabric!
3.. Quilting style - traditional and scrappy appeal the most to me.
4. Pets? what kind & how many?
Beagle named Trixie, also known as "Beagle" and a shih tzu/pug mix (think pug with a fur coat or a miniature Chewbacca) named Snickers, also known as "Chewy", short for Chewbacca
5. Coffee or Tea? tea or cappuccino
6. Chocolate - love it or hate it? It's good, but I'm fussy.
7. Do you prefer homemade gifts or store bought? Handmade!
8. What's your favorite flower? Pansies- I collect fabric with pansies on it.
9. Your favorite snack? weird, I know- dry Kellogg's frosted mini wheats and I love those orange Cicrus marshmallow peanuts.
10. What's playing in your sewing area when your there? TV- usually a sappy Hallmark movie or Lifetime. HGTV and all the remodeling shows I can suck up because I love to decorate and rescape.

Don't fret Verna, maybe I had the same partner last year. Not even a thank you from her but you need to let it go and feel good about the sending and I thought " I hope I made her Christmas special"
Yup I have my medicine Kahlua every night too! Think I am addicted, can't seem to sleep without it :

I so totally agree a thank you should be mandatory. I belong to another swap that this is a big thing to. Secret Pals not even having the courteously to say thank you. It doesn't take that much effort. We put so much effort and thought into putting the package together.
Another question that should be on the form is can and will you take pictures of what you receive.

I need some help. The person whose name I have hasn't posted for preferences. That's fine. I like the latitude to choose. There is a fair trade website that has handmade items from women in India. They sell tote bags, etc. I know it's not everybody's thing, but do you think most people would like it? It would be the $20 gift, and I would fill it with goodies. I like the idea of helping struggling working women get out of poverty. Good idea, or bad idea? Would you guys like something like this if you were the recipient?

TPr9258, the hole started when I first moved here to PA. I have a farmers field behind my house and I threatened to dig a hole and put people in it if they misbehaved. lol
No, the person you send to IS NOT the person sending to you. Hence, one of the reasons why it takes me a while to get names out. Well, actually, I put all names in a program, push sort and out come the names. Except for this year...got talked into using another program and it screwed me all up. But all in all....all is good

Quiltedhorse, I put down a few likes and dislikes, etc.....but I would love it. Not only for the people of India and the ladies doing this work but each one is unique. Perfect in my opinion!
I agree ladies, a thank you is always nice to receive but rules are very lenient sometimes. I love to give and receive from someone but have learned a very hard lesson...if I meditate on it, I'm the only one that feels sad...IMHO
Done posting, My box is already full and I still have a couple of things I'd like to include, guess I go to a large flat rate box.

IMHO a thanks at the very least should be part of the rules of participation.

I have been a participant in SS for many years.
It used to be fun. Past few years things changed as did the participants playing.
They seemed to make their own rules and had their own form of meanness.
When you sign up it is :your" job to read all the rules before joining.
All people are different.
All people were raised different.
Life is no longer the fun it was on this swap.
People that join are not required to join in the banter.
They are not required to thank you; although it's nice when they do.
Several participants feel it needs to be done in private PM's.
I'd personally appreciate it if we could all leave the act of "judging others and their ways"
out of the SS swap. That is not why it was created. In fact it has driven a lot of players
to not return. This was designed for fun. Try enjoying it.
Terri goes through a lot to do this for us every year. Please respect her and her rules.
Thank you
