Hmmm...oink, eh?? Yippee!!

My partners mug rug is finished! I'm pretty happy about it because I was really worried I was going to be pushing the deadline on it and the mini quilt swap this month. I have that finished, too. So I'm doing a lil happy dance...and tossing in a few oinks...lol

those are happy words to me ladies. lol.. I mailed I am ready to mail, will be done in a few days.. oh yes those are very happy words. when you are trying to keep so many trades in line and track them all it gets scary when you have missing partners. the ones that never talk to you... you sit and wonder are they sending not sending.... scary. I know you feel the same way. I say.. let it go and it will happen or it wont happen. Its not the end of the world but it is annoying lol. We can only hope and pray (I get to do lots of that.. please show up please show up). then comes the wooden spoon. My mom always pulled it out and said do you want the wooden spoon? um.. NO. she would smack it on the counter and it scared me to death. so ... don't make me get the wooden spoon. lol. In my house it was the pokey spoon (that spoon you pull spaghetti out of the water with that has all the little points to it?). it scared the heck out of the kids. never used it but boy the thought of being spanked with that thing was priceless. you know your in real trouble if I have to get that spoon out so .. mail your mug rugs! rather use it for spaghetti and all that running around wears me out.

I got my first mailed my package and received my package. two down.. 40 plus to go. keep them coming ladies!

my partner is due to receive tomorrow. I must keep in mind that not everyone gets door to door service. I must keep in mind that the po does lie to me. I must keep in mind, that my poor partner may have to go to the po to get their package. I can't wait any longer to know if you like it or not. the suspense is killing me!!!!

Dabbler, it sounds like you are by I'Falls. I grew up in the town that owns the all-time record--TS at -60. Not much wind so the windchill was likely not much lower. It must have been that cold when I was young--our thermometer bottomed at -60 and one night it broke. Remember hanging mittens by the wood stove in the warming shed and the smell of scorched wool. One day, went skating and had to skate home because my feet wouldn't bend to come out of my skates.

I received a box today from Letsquilt.......can't wait to open it. I promised myself it wouldn't be opened until her box was in the mail to her. Lots of incentive now to finish up quickly and mail it off!!
