I Don't Know If This Qualifies As Organizing
#23
I have to start giving more away since we are retiring from Boston (Norwell) next July. It seems people like to give me their stash and mine keeps growing even though I have taken some to my guild for Comfort quilts.
I went through several of my fabric boxes and sorted out some that I fell out of love with. After giving away a couple of bags full, I now have two empty boxes. It looks a little neater in the fabric area of my sewing room.
Also, I have hooks and pegs for the cutter, rulers etc. I cleaned that up recently. It's a lot easier to find stuff now.

I love this idea! I even find at work if supplies are gone, someone will toss something else in the space. Designated space holders are an awesome idea!!!

I think it is healthy to go through your stash from time to time and part with the fabrics that no longer speak to you. As I am getting ready to move into my new sewing space, I hope to weed out some older fabrics.
