I just spent some time on your blog - enjoyed it. Was wondering about a post you had about hand embroidery - you mentioned a Sarah as a resource for stitches but I couldn't figure out how to find her. Would love to know more!

I counted four sewing machines/sewing stations. It's so nice. Very bright, organized and workable. Congratulations, and thank you for sharing. In Colorado we have "Denver Fabrics" with bolts and rolls of fabrics. The sale area has rolls of fabrics for $1 per yard, and the shelving of sale fabrics changes every 3 months when the employees pull fabrics with date codes saying the fabrics have been there for too many years and it's time to move them out the front door. I have rolls and rolls of fabrics leaning against the corner walls in my studio. Each roll has a future project. Many of my quilt backings come from these decorator fabrics, including corderoy for some incredibly cuddly, heavy, warm winter scrappy quilts. I bought 40 yards of the corderoy for $1 per yard, and it is almost totally used up and depleted. I put it on the backs of several quilts.
