Ok, What the heck - I have always wanted to go to a retreat and this sounds right up my alley. I am throwing my hat into the ring. Please let me know how much so I can get a check to you asap. I can bring food also. I am driving from Northern Calif. so don't know if anyone else is coming that way - possibly they could ride with me. I am so excited - I haven't been to Lincoln City in a couple of years.

Hi Cindy:
I'd love to join you. Red Wine sounds fine to me. I'm good for about 1 glass then I start dancing on the tables...I'm a real lightweight.

My new hip is working pretty good but the other hip needs to be replaced...Dr. wanted to do it a couple months ago but I said I wasn't going to have it done until I couldn't walk anymore...I'm getting close to that time! A person gets one thing fixed and 3 others go bad! :x

Can't wait to see you at the beach. I'm hoping my sister will come. She's a wonderful seamstress but has never done much quilting except when we were kids and made crazy patch quilts for our dolls. She's retired now so wants to start. As soon as I know if she'll be able to come, I'll let Karen know and send in the money.

See you all soon.

Hi Sew Corny:
I'm anxious to see all of you guys, too. I've missed the last couple get-to-gether open houses and the retreat last year so I'm READY.

My surgically replaced hip is doing pretty well but the other one needs to be done so I'm gimping around, can't walk very far and hurt but I'll live and I promise I won't be a drag at the retreat.

Does anyone know how to make a Kaliedescope? I have this gorgeous material for one and I've even made one before but I don't remember how to lay it out and cut the fabric. I anyone knows how will you help me with that at the retreat? Thank you.

My count at the moment is 16! Your bed will be reserved when I have the money! Otherwise, if someone asks if there is room, I will have them join us! Welcome Otis!

Anyone interested in doing a swap of some sort or playing a game, etc? At our gatherings we have done fat quarter swaps. We could do an ugly fabric swap or ? Other ideas?

I like the fat quarter swap. I have some ugly fabric, too.

I have a quilt Bingo game that I made that I can bring. It's fun.

Your bingo game sounds good Sandy! I think I'll come up with some small prizes!

Anybody want to do a white elephant swap? For those who might not know what this is, it is where you bring something that you don't want or need and do a game of swapping. In this case, we could do quilting or sewing supplies.

I'm not suggesting games to take away from our sewing time, just some quick thing for some laughing exercise since we'll be sitting the whole weekend! :)
