Okay ladies, I've done some research and there are two weekends available. The weekend of June 3,4,5 and the weekend of June 24,25,26. I have two houses available but will want to book one of them ASAP! One house is the one we used last year. For a small group this seemed to work. ($200 a night, linens included) If we have a large group (10+) I found an awesome deal and the house holds 22 with many more beds than the first! ($280 a night + $15 per person above 8)This one requires you bring your own bedding/towels. Both houses have stairs and both are in Lincoln City! Please post on this thread which weekend you'll commit to and we'll determine which house is going to be needed. I want to book one of them by this weekend!!!

I'd like the first weekend because it's my birthday and what a way to Party! But either is fine! Sounds like fun! No problem with bringing my own bedding and towels. Thanks Karen for house hunting for us!

I'll have to check the calendar but will get back to you by tomorrow.

On another note: we'll soon have another Board member in our area. Last week she posted a thread asking advice on where to look for a place to live in Washington County. She and her DH are moving here from Tennessee soon. He'll be working in Hillsboro.

Her board name is "thrums". She's going to let me know when she's here and a bit settled and maybe some of us can get together for a welcome tea/coffee time.

Jen that sounds like a plan as long as I can bring hot cocoa! :)

I'm shooting for the first weekend of June. Typically the last weekend really isn't all that nice. I'll wait until Saturday though to book things depending on numbers.

Karen and everyone:
I will not be able to spend the weekend with you all, but I have a proposal for you all: I could come down on Saturday for the day, and would be willing to teach a paper piecing class. I have taught them before, and I don't want to brag, but let's just say it is my 'speciality'. Perhaps everyone already knows how, so this could be a mute point. I have patterns and instructions (from my other classes) that I could provide. Please let me know what you think, and PLEASE DON't FEEL OBLIGATED TO SAY YES IF YOU TRULY AREN'T INTERESTED!!! I will not be offended whatsoever.

I'm not hearing from many! Pass the word to the people in the area! There are a lot of new names on the board from around here!

Laurie, we may take you up on that offer! I've just fuddled through it without a pattern (crazy patch style) so it would be fun to do it the right way!

Karen thanks for all your venturing through the houses. Was there not much available in May? I'll have to get back to you on weekends. I would lean towards the beginning of June. I have commited to a two day event at the end of June but need to look up the dates.

Another thought was end of June is too close to Sisters Quilt Show. I know some of us stay overnight for that event.

I'm interested in paper piecing. I have taken one class but would like to see other techniques if anyone is interested.
