Oh ya - you chose beautiful colors - it does look like water. This is turning out so pretty!

Karla, is this pattern from the August 2009 issue of McCalls quilting magazine?
I have that issue sitting in front of me and it really looks like what you are doing? That one is called Shadows on the Pond.

It is going to be a gorgeous quilt!!!

The one on the right speaks all water to me...the one on the left is water, shoreline and a few plants :D :D :D

Yup--that's the one!! I had mentioned that in the post about buying fabrics...

See how the corner triangles are light and sewn on lights? I just cut darks, and sewed them on darks....

Me too--amma!

I love them both maybe put the lights in the one corner and go fade into the darks at the other end. Either way it's going to be spectacular.

I really like them both, the fabrics are beautiful! The circle seems to pop out more on the first set, while the star pops out more on the second. I can't decide which I like better!

I was going to say I liked the first one better until I saw them next to each other. You are right. The "bluer" one is better.

I agree with LaceLady. Water changes colors all the time. And yes I like it.
