That is so pretty! It is such a good feeling to finish our UFOs especially ones that have been around for awhile.

Both!! It is a double irish chain in the middle, but I ended the pattern at a different place than what most patterns have you do. The applique, I designed as I went, I usually just eyeball the placement of my applique, I don't make a placement pattern. The corners, I hadn't planned, I just figured it out when I got to them.

I'm soo very impressed with hand applique and hand quilting , I've tried my hand at this and it is not an easy thing ! How very beautiful, so happy you finished .

Hi from Oklahoma City. Your quilt is lovely. Makes me feel better about one I worked on, off and on for 5 years lol. Did you hand quilt this one? That is what slowed me down.
