There both beautiful. Have you tried the one with 10" squares. You take two squares and put the face to face and stitch 1/4" all around, cut twice corner to corner and than you have 4 squares and goes together super fast.

That is a succinct lesson we can all learn from! Things are not always as they seem; there are usually more than 1 or 2 ways to accomplish a thing. I appreciate your sharing the pictures and the lesson learned, thus sparing others of us from having to reinvent the wheel and learn on our own!!
