luv, if you want, just do it like regular layered applique! Thats what I did, if you enlarged your block, I think it is easier, but I was working with the 7", so there isn't much room to do the turning of the background. So, I did it as normal applique.

If you want to try the reverse app but are wondering about not having enough to turn under on both sides, just draw your design lines a little further apart. Not so much that it looks ridiculous, just put the new line right next to the old one, so that you have a few threads more to turn under, and I am sure you will get on fine. If in doubt, try an inch or two on a scrap, just to give you confidence.

Candi, I really like the wider frame. It lightenens up the block so well. Great job. Love those happy accidents!
