yes, it's just like that episode of "I Love Lucy', where she is working in the candy factory and it's coming down the conveyor belt, and it keeps speeding up, so Lucy has to start cramming chocolates in her pockets and under her hat...and everywhere...it's everywhere...must make room for more...it just keeps coming!!!!
(patti, your just too dang smart! and I can just see you with a grin like the one on your kitty cat  - )

Pat, Mousie and Roxanne, thank you, appreciate the encouragement.
Roxanne, I am doing "invisible machine appliqué" , also heard it called "mock hand applique", I cut heat resistant templates, cut my pieces with some seam allowance, and then use starch and heat to turn the edges under the template, take the template out and stitch the prepared piece with a blind hem stitch using invisible thread.

Aw Roxanne, ((((hugs)))),I am not so happy with my work, I am new to applique too, and feel that my work is "messy," know what you mean about finding the best way to do this. Your idea sounds very good. Maybe I'll try that..right now I am just setting the pattern and background on top of the light box, and then lightly glueing the pieces in place.
Thanks for the kind words.

I did some applique the other day and used that bottle of Elmer's School Glue (the double tipped bottle)...and applied just a tiny drop...worked great at holding the piece in place. Don't use too much though or you won't be able to sew it.
