Shades of Sisters, Oregon. I went to that for the first time last year. Absolutely loved it. This one seems to have the same "feel" to it. Warning! My sandles fell apart (it was mid summer) and I had to buy new shoes. Got blisters, and had to buy new shoes. The upside is I now have two pairs of shoes that I love and memories galore. Women from Gee's Bend were there, had taught a class and showed off some Gee's Bend quilts and the ones the students had done. Such movement! Such freedom!

The log cabin with HST in the border is a nice addition to that pattern.

What a delightful event. You must live in a wonderful town - anyone who loves and embraces quilting has to be OK!
