That is sooo beautiful Gai, can't wait to see it quilted. Ebay sure has some good deals once in a while, it pays to watch.

I just love old quilt tops. I have a couple that I bought on eBay, plus some old finished quilts. Maybe I'll post some pictures. I haven't quilted any of the tops yet, but am certainly considering doing it to "save" them, as they are really fragile. I love the Grandmother's Flower Garden pattern, but know that I will NEVER do it myself. Too tedious for me!! Anyway, you got a real gem there!!!

One of my favorite patterns. You have a real treasure. Glad you are taking good care of it now.

I'm so glad you're going to have it hand quilted - a beauty like that should be hand quilted. The woman who made it did a lovely job, and you will have an absolute treasure when its fully completed.

I really can't put my brain around anyone who would let this go onto Ebay, or anyone else. Unless of course they had no family. It is simply beautiful. I have a friend who has one also. I keep trying to get her to quilt it or let someone else do it. It'll end up someplace not good I'm afraid.

I have an antique one that has a circle (hand) quilted inside each hex. I like the way it looks. What did you decide on this one? Pictures please?
