small? you mean the bite it takes or make them closer together? I am going to change out thread thru out the design on the next one. Plus I am going to play with some different fabrics. All these practice blocks will go to my 6 month old gran daughter and then I will make her a baby doll quilt and also make her a Sue doll for her 1st birthday in July. This sure is fun playing with her.

Yes, if you are familiar with SBS, you will notice it. If you don't .....good, because it will take too much work to change them............. :roll: I do have a few more things to add on the block, but just doing a little at a time. You know how those 'other projects' just jump in ahead!

The new Sue looks fabulous to me! I like the varigated thread, I think it blends well. :-D

Have you ever used tear away stabilizer behind your applique? I find it makes it look smoother.

I am using wonder under If I had to turn under and then sew I would not be doing it. THat iron is just to hot to get my fingers close to it.

Ok im happy with the stitching I dont have any gold thread so used this thread not to bad. I added a hat band and changed her outfit around.
