WOW thank you everyone for your wonderful words.

I found this pattern in More Fat Quarters book. It is the same pattern as in my avatar. My husband had asked me months ago about making a quilt for this friend. He wanted it to be more Navy with anchors and such. I tried to come up with something. Then I just started pulling out all my fat quarters to see what I could come up with. The more blues I came up with, the more it looked like an ocean. Then the applique of fish idea happened lol...I had never done applique of animals (just letters). WIth the dark colors of the blue, I wanted to have bright colorful fish to be swimming along. It turned out great, and unplanned :) Just the way I like it lol

Thank you all again for your wonderful words. I love this pattern and would like to do another one soon.

Wendy
