    I say keep it a secret too. And yes do NOT forget where you hid it. So don't hide it too well. Might have to make one of those myself; I have the tumbler ruler.

    Another vote for giving it now with love just because. I have a Christmas list on my computer and everytime I buy or make something, it's added to the list with the future recipient's name and, if necessary, where it's hidden. Hasn't failed me yet. Very pretty quilt, by the way.
