Very pretty. I would just give it to her now. Why wait?

Love your quilt! I give Christmas quilts to my family at thanksgiving. It's part of showing how thankful I am for them, but then they have all season to use them.

Beautiful quilt! I have a hard time keeping a secret too sometimes. Depends on what the secret is. If I want projects for Christmas, I just put them away so I can't see them all the time. Then I tend not to think about them so much.

I know exactly how you feel about the waiting. My youngest sister commissioned a quilt -- she's paid for all the fabrics, etc. With that quilt, is a pair of matching pillow shams, and a bed skirt. Several years ago I made a pair of tab top curtains for her bedroom in a cream color, so everything will coordinate. Unfortunately, I've been a little out of commission lately, and the quilt is not yet quilted. I am simply sizzling with impatience at not being able to work on this. It's a king size quilt. I really hope it will be special to her. So, I do know exactly how you feel -- I'm there, too!

I always give quilts I make as soon as they are finished so the recipient can be enjoying it. That is just me, so do whatever is in your heart.
