Love the Black white n red. I usually go for blues but have been trying to branch out. I like the rich browns and fall colors too. There are a lot of orphan pieces in my stash that don't seem to "go" with anything else but I liked it when I bought it! More shopping to match it up.

Nice quilt. I buy when I decide what colors I want and what pattern I want to use. I haven't done the same pattern twice. I do most of my quilting all by hand. I have a 10 ft. quilting frame and love it.

You are going to have so much fun making this quilt. Please put pictures on the message board when done.

I started collecting pinks and greens when my granddaughter was born (7 years ago) and I can't resist when I see pretty new collections with pinks and greens!

When I look at my stash lately I notice that I have many blues and reds of all shades---hardly any browns and greens. Do not enjoy working in earth tones but will when I have to.
    Happy sorting ladies, Kutnso

I always buy from the warm side of the color wheel - red, orange, yellow and any shades from light to dark.
I am also collecting scraps of stripes and dots for a circle applique quilt (which I have enough for two or three now).
William Morris fabrics have been collected for the last 14 years as well as black/white.
Oh, and I have recently started to collect solids.

Those fabrics are gorgeous; can't wait to see how you put it all together.

As for favorite colors for quilts? Mine would be pink!!! HA HA, you know me better than that!!

My tastes are changing over the years. I'd never say red or black 10 years ago but now I love them, plus all the bright jewel tones, but my favorites are yellows and greens. Makes me feel so happy and with a grown daughter moving back in with our precious granddaughter, I NEED happy!!

What a collection, and the quilt will be beautiful.
Being a crazy quilter my largest pieces are quarter yards!
So I can keep them in plastic bins; but I collect all colors, types of fabrics, solids and patterns; I am collecting for an Oceanscape, so I have lots of blues and greens; here's an idea of what I want to do when I take Judith Baker Montano's Seascape class in September:
