Some of the quilting was done on my HQ Sweet Sixteen. My DD borrowed it so she could finish some her quilts (that girl needs to get that machine back to me, LOL). I then did some of the quilting on my Singer 15-91 and some on my Elna 7300.

I thought I would give you some history about the Dusky Grouse quilt. The original name for the pattern was Prairie Chicken. As I live in Western Washington, we don't have Prairie Chickens, we have Blue Grouse which are in the same bird family. So that was going to be the name for my Quilt, Blue Grouse. I did an Internet search for information regarding the Blue Grouse and discovered that Washington no longer has Blue Grouse as the group was divided in 2006 into two groups, the Dusky Grouse and Sooty Grouse. I chose Dusky Grouse for the name.

When I told DH that information a big argument ensued and he told me I was WRONG. So I printed out the information for him to win the argument. I love it when I WIN! He now starts his own arguments with his hunting buddies over the Blue Grouse no longer existing in Washington.

WOW how many machines do you have? By coincidence I have the Elna 730 and I love it especially the built in dual feed. It's marvellous for FMQ as you have so beautifully illustrated. Thanks for the info about the Grouse I assumed it was because of the colours of the quilt, duh
