I think what makes the quilt pattern if the use of the Black fabric. Angelika Monks a very well known quilter, of German origin but now living on this Island, is a quilting buddy of mine and she taught me the virtues of using black instead of white and neutral colours for back grounds. I am now never without a plain black fabric in my stash and what is great that Abakhan, does the most amazing quality cotton plain fabrics that is as good as Moda or Kona at a fraction of the price as you can see here: http://www.abakhan.co.uk/fabric/craf...n-cottons.html

They do a brilliant postal service but as it is only about an hour and a half drive from us, we share the petrol cost and go over for lunch which is always brilliant and at a wonderful price, so it's a win win situation, especially as they also do the most amazing selection of Polar Fleece which is a great price as well, which I use a lot for Project Linus quilts, aren't we a lucky group of quilters

I like the pattern and your color choices. Are you going to make the pieced border also? Be sure to post a picture of your completed top.
