    Finally finished the crazy quilt!

I could swear there was a section for crazy quilts somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.

Anyway, after 2 years, she's done! And she came out much better than I thought she would. It looks SO much better in person than it does in this pic, but here goes anyways. Ya'll have no idea how excited I am to have finished! lol. Her name is "The Wishful Garden".
I hemmed and hawwed about showing it, but I know everyone here won't be too hard on me. . .I hope?

Oh, and ever single thing used for/on this quilt (except my sewing machine) came from clearance/yard/garage sales. I'm as proud of that as anything.
She'll be headed to the fair this fall - wish me luck, please!

I have a husband and kids, therefore, I need therapy and sewing is way cheaper than a psychiatrist.

Nicely Done. Good Luck at the Fair. Just know it is a quilt you will love and cherish no matter what the judges may say. I find that the hardest part. The judges and I don't always agree! Ah well it is a beautiful quilt Enjoy it. Luann in CT

It's awesome! Wish the photo was a bit clearer and we could zoom in on the squares to see better, but from what I CAN see, it's awesome. I though it would be "just another crazy quilt pattern", but I love the way you made each square into something to look at! I'm impressed!

I think you did a wonderful job. I love the white borders and the way you added the (I think) flowers. Very nice. I hope you win.

I'm usually not into crazy quilts but I really really love this one. I think because the squares are separated. Beautiful job.

I'm sorry, Helen, I only have an oldy-goldy camera that doesn't take very nice pictures.
The only way I know to zoom in or out is to hold down the Ctrl key and tap the plus or minus keys. I suppose that doesn't really help with a crappy pic though. And thank you!

Yes, those are clusters of little crocheted flowers. Sorry the pic is so bad. The white borders are 1/2" strips of flat lace sewn together. My fingers are not very happy. lol

That looks so cheerful, love that you got things at a bargain/sale/thrift. Forget what the judges at the fair say, it is a winner and enjoy it!

YEA for you. I have all the "stuff" for a (probably more than one!) crazy quilt. I've just got to get down to business and do it!

The white borders really do allow the blocks to shine. You say it's headed for the fair this fall? That's too bad because I was hoping it was headed to my house this week! LOL! Yes, I love, love, love this! Sometimes crazy quilts are just too, too much but this one is just right! Kudos!
