First Quilt on my Long Arm!
#22
Great first project...we look forward to seeing more of your work along the way. A tad green with envy...I have narrowed my longarm search down to two machines and hope to have one before Christmas. Wonderful charity quilt.

What machines have made your list? I have to admit it was a bit of an impulse buy, but the price was right at the quilt show. And the quilt that is being loaded today is a mammoth and I was dreading quilting it on my sewing machine.

Congrats on your first quilt on the longarm. It was so scary for me. And there was so much to remember, which leaders to attach what, etc. Now it is all old hat as it will be for you in a while. I just finished number 1005, all custom quilted. Needless to say I have figured out which leader is which. The longarm has become an extension of my arm. I am so thrilled for you. I hope you have a wonderful journey on your machine. I learned a little at a time as will you. One thing I did was keep a journal with the size of the quilt, type of thread, number of bobbins and time it took. I put a stop watch from Walmart on my machine. It cost $10 back then. I can see over the years how much faster I have gotten along with seeing the progress in my quilting.
