I think you made the perfect gift for your friend, something to comfort her and remind her of home.

It's just beautiful and she will love it! The farm print is so cute and no, it's not too childish for her. We had a farm and I know that I would love your print.
As a cancer survivor, it's so important to let us know that we are loved and she will feel loved tucked under your quilt especially on those difficult days. Your are a caring friend!

No matter how old we are, we always want our mommy and a woobie when we are sick. Of course she will love it!

She will love it! I don't think it's at all childish, just a loving reminder of good times.

I think that she will take great comfort from the quilt and from the fact that you made it for her.

AML is a very bad diagnosis. The only real hope is a bone marrow transplant. If she has siblings, encourage her to get them to be tested to see if they are matches. I was diagnosed with AML in 1999 and my brother was a partial match. I went to the best cancer hospital in Boston, the Dana-Farber Cancer Center. It was inconvenient for my family to visit but my transplant took and the leukemia hasn't come back for 12 years!! So strongly urge her to find the best physicians in her area that specialize in hematology-oncology and seek them out as consults and consider going to them even if she has to travel
    a distance.
Give her my best wishes. - Judy
