Both are beautiful. How did you connect your yo yos tot he backing? Were they sewn togethor first then attached or attached directly to the backing?

They are both so beautiful! But the yo yo gave me a lump in my throat. What a treasure that 3 generations worked on it.

The Yo Yo's were sewn together separately Then I took a few small stitches through some of the holes just to keep it stable. I hand stitched around the edge with a slip stitch.

Your grandmother flower garden is so pretty. What a great job quilting it. I am in love with the Yo Yo quilt. What a wonderful family heirloom. Thanks for sharing both with us.
