I just love the GMFG. I am not fond of Yo - yo's, but I love your story and the quilt.

I'm doing a grandmothers flowers quilt (have 13 done, all by hand, in 2 months) and looking for a non-traditional pattern for putting them together-thought to connect them with black fabric but yours is intriguing. What size was your hexagon and what size square do you have them appliqued on? I have thirty four flowers cut out but wouldn't need as many with your method.
