LOL since it's a area rug might as well have fun with it and deco with more prints, do like the foot print idea, can make them do in the direction of where the iron sets!! :)

This might work - picked up from another site:

Hi there, removing a burn from a carpet is nearly impossible I did have an iron burn on my carpet. I found a dog brush (a small brush with small wire bristles) and pick it. This fluffs the carpet, also a razor, a cheap BIC razor. go over it LIGHTLY start 4 inches away from actual burn and do it very lightly towards the burn so it blends in. If you have any more questions I am handy on fixing carpets (what can i say I'm a klutz, I spill and drop a lot of things!!

    Hope that helps some.

I did this on a newly done carpet. Called the installer and he used a piece that was left over to just replace thaat ssmall spot. Was an easy fix and after a couple of months didn't even noticce it any more.

No problem.....use the photograph as a pattern for an Artquilt and call the "mishap" research! I honestly think it would make a beautiful artquilt.....

Oreck has a cordless iron, but it is so heavy I gave it away.

If you really want the imprint gone, a good carpet man can replace that samll piece of carpet. I know I had it done many years ago. But I rather like it.

Or you can do this automatically by just moving your ironing board periodically...that way, you're sure to trip over it again...and again...
    lmao.
