I splurge on my batting. I usually try to get good deals for my fabric but the wool batting is worth every penny. My stitches are much more accurate. It's puffy, warm in winter, & cool in summer. Give your hands a break & save a little longer till you have enough for the wool.

You have done a wonderful job on your quilt top.
I have made comforters and I used high loft
polyester batting. They are so warm and comfortable.
I know that any kind of quilting you do will be
beautiful. I can't wait to see the finished comforter.

!!!I LOVE your quilt!!!
I started seriouly quilting when I was 15, and I made my hope chest quilt also... but by the time I was done with it I was married LOL
the WORST batting I have hand quilted is a 80/20 from joanns, the second worst was a bammboo batt from joanns
I dont think I high loft poly would be that bad AT ALL!!!
as for design... I think some diagonal stitching would look GREAT! but you should decide on batting first, as some can be stitched farther apart than others.
;) ;) ;)
HAVE FUN!

Awesome. Love your choice of fabric colors. Since you are going to save it until you marry how about "Love In Bloom"
