Pretty fabrics. Leave the extra window out would by my opinion. It just takes away from that nice purple.

Hi, I think I like it best without the extra window. It would make the others stand out more. Keep it simple and you get them done faster without the extra work of doing that extra step. You don't want too busy with that pattern I don't think.

I love how this turned out. Do I get it right that you added the colored piece inside the cream after the block was sewn together but before you rolled the cream over to make the window?

I just absolutely love the way the quilt turned out everything about it is beautiful. Seems like you finished the top quickly mind me asking how long it took to make the completed top?

This is called a 10 minute block but the woman who developed the technique says "you can roll the edges like a cathedral window which is my choice".
I think the block looks great either way, love your fabric colors.
Thanks for clearing that up! I was thinking about doing a cathedral window, so this technique may give me the look I like without having so many layers.

This would be the closest I would come to an actual cathedral window way too much work for me. Sometimes faux works just fine.
