Ok, I am getting a new puppy on the 3rd and I wanted to make him his own blanket. My other two dogs have afghans I crocheted. I'm not in the mood to do that so I looked over my scraps...this is what I came up with.

He's a mini wirehair dachshund...he's 10 weeks old now. I'm so excited I can't stand it. I know people are going to ask about the name...I already have a dachshund, his name is Frank. I have a yorkie, her name is Beans. Get it Frank & Beans...lol. In the spring we are getting another yorkie...her name will be Cheese. I'm nuts!

OMG! What a precious pup! You got a great thing going with the names, too! How sweet is that! Are you going to breed, or do you just like having the critters?

He should get to 11 pounds...but my other mini dachshund weights 14, which is sort of fat for a mini...lol.

Of course your new puppy should have his own quilt! And it's a lovely one you've made for your adorable new puppy!

Our pup would have his own quilt if he wasn't a chewer - when he's excited / stressed / afraid he chews whatever is available - which means he needs a new blankie for his crate every couple of months. If he ever grows out of this habit, I will make him a quilt for his crate instead!

LOL! Love your dogs' names. Too cute- and I LOVE the quilt. I just made a little quilt for a dog I was babysitting so I don't think you're pathetic at ALL.

I don't have to make quilts for my cats because they just sleep in my stash. LOL!

Okay---this is a great quilt for your new little guy!! Sir Macaroni is adorable. You need to post pics of Frank and Beans too.

My brother used to breed doxies and he had about 25 at one time--short hair, long hair, wire hair, etc. They were so cute.
