Your quilt is beautiful. Nice job.
Show us after you decide on the binding!

Dear Julie
Yes I will keep you and your new grandbaby in my prayers let us know how it goes..do you know about skype? That has been such a nice thing for our daughter whose husband is in Iraq. You can skype everyday or once a week... to see the baby and family etc..
Also show us your quilt when you get it done.. and don't forget your label...
hugs

Thanks Vicki! We do Skype, and will need to do it frequently so our little girl knows her Grandma and Grandpa! I will keep your son in law in my prayers too. As far as the quilt goes, I cut borders and will sew them on tonight, and try to get it basted so I can quilt it tomorrow.
Keep a look out for finished pictures!
Julie

I'd put a 1" sashing around it and then bind it.

I agree with Sushi. White is a good color to use the checker board border will stand out that way.

Here is the finished quilt! Thank you for all the suggestions on how to finish it. I just finished the label and plan to ship it to Germany tomorrow. I can't wait for the kids to see it!
