She's very cute! Can't wait to see her holding up her completed quilt.

She's a cutie! I'm teaching my 3-1/2 yo DGD to sew. I know your little girl is having so much fun!

Please don't take this wrong because I mean it with love but if she can use an iron, she can be trusted to learn how to use a sewing machine. She is a bright and creative, darling little girl. Sit her on your lap and let her "sew" while you control the pedal. When she proves she can handle that, place the pedal on a stool and let her use the pedal while you hold the fabric. I am certain that this precious little girl will get the hang of it in no time. HUGS!!!

That's what I'm doing...I'm using the pedal, and for now, guiding her hands with the fabric...once she gets a feel for it, I'll let her go without my hands, and eventually let her work the pedal. I really wish my machine had a speed setting on it, it would make it a lot easier to just leave her to it. There are quite a few squares (96), so she will have LOTS of time to work on it :D

I am so glad that you didn't take advice to my suggestion! Try putting a thick sponge between the pedal and the base so that she cannot push the pedal down all the way. It will act like a governor. I really want to see her quilt when it is done.

What a cutie patootie! They do have their own ideas about how it should all go, don't they? She is so proud and I know you are too!
