Default DH's GFG update.

Update on the GFG it's been almost 2 years, I think I under estimated I still have 10 more flowers to attach.

So far it's been going good, had to find more fabric for the black, but I was able to. All the flowers have been circled in the black, and I'm in the process of joining them with the green.

I have each flower labeled so I know where it belongs in the pattern, so if you are wondering what the white squares were.
I think I will add more black hexes to the edges to make it square, I like the flat sides better than the large scallops.
I am guessing that it will be about nine months to a year, then it will go off to be quilted. (If I try to hand quilt it, it will be 10 years + and don't want to wait that long)

Thanks for looking.

That is so beautiful. I just started on what will take me a long time also using the hexagons. I think how you are encircling yours is really nice. The memories with it all makes it so special.

I admire you for taking on such a project. I have a small one I did and it was not my cup of tea. Your hubby must be thrilled.

great start on finishing them. I've made 3 EPP hex quilts. I'm now on my 60 degree star one. Please show us your work as you go along. It's fun and addicting. Good luck with the rest of them.
