Hey Terri - did you see I used the butterfly fabric you sent me in Gai's border? It was a great sacrifice I can tell you, but I have a few scraps left for ME! :lol:

I'm also showing a couple of close ups so you can really see the fabrics. The butterfly one tones exactly with the background of Esq's Asian fabric. It was sent to me by Terri when I won the Mare Stare poll so thanks again T, hope you don't mind me using it for Gai's quilt! :-D

K, I think I missed your post, don't know how though. I just want to say the border is beautiful. I love the butterfly material you used. It was worth the sacrafice because it is just lovely.

Ok, you have to excuse the crappy paint program I have on my computer. I made one block, but I couldn't alter the pic much on my computer without Photoshop, so I just copy-pasted the same block all the way around.

This is what I want to do, but I'm not sure I like it anymore, or if it's just the colours I don't like... Lattice is really nice in white, but the white just looks too stark with the rest of the quilt, you know?

I was thinking maybe if I fussed with it some more, and made the blocks half the size, but twice as many of them, to make two rows of lattice all the way around?
