ok, how about this one for comparison...
I left one side with the regular blocks, and the other one I edited to make it half the size but twice all around. Is it too busy with the other border there? Should I find something a little more simple?

Aye, I don't know anymore...
What about if I come up with a paper pieced block for the corner blocks that looks like the chicken wire print for the first border there, and something plain for the sides?

Mel why not keep it simple and do a plain border with corner blocks - I like your idea of PP chicken wire! I think the lattice is fighting too much with Patti's triangles. :-D

Yup - keep it simple, get him done and on his way! Esq's centre is already on it's way to you and before long, you'll have much more important things to think about. :-D

I agree with k3n Mel, I should have done something simpler I think to make the lattice work. At this point...less will be more..the perfect fabric is out there for it.

Mel, do you have any batiks you could add to it? I would think some strips with the brighter colors and black would look really pretty.

Yeah, I was considering that too :) I have some batiks left from my own center, I was thinking of checking to see if one of those might work. :D

I like the idea of the thin black in between Patti. And you can NEVER have too much batik IMHO! :-D
