I was asked really late ( like December 1) to make a queen size Christmas gift quilt. First I said No, can’t do it, but then I started digging through the fabric shelves to see what I had available and reconcidered. Actually made it last weekend. Pulled fabric, made blocks on Saturday, put top together on Sunday, quilted on Monday, bound on Tuesday. Delivered yesterday. ( Saturday)
i didn’t get great pictures & I didn’t do great quilting on it ( had thread breaking problems, frustrating)
but ( she) was thrilled to have it for her husband’s Christmas gift.

I really like your quilt. You made wonderful use of all those beautiful wildlife panels and pictures. I know it will be enjoyed by its new owner come Christmas day.

Well worth the lost weekend! Turned out gorgeous. Is your friend’s husband outdoorsy? Just perfect wildlife theme. I have a thing for bears.

I had never met the lady, I am assuming her hubby is outdoorsy, a hunter. She asked for moose, elk, deer, bears, woodsy. When I sent her a picture after finishing it she said he’s going to love it.

A real marathon effort! Wonderful quilt. I especially like those fall color strips. They really make the rest of the quilt pop.

Sometimes it takes just a little inspiration. Nice stash to have on hand. You did a wonderful job for a very manly quilt.
