latest quilt

Thank you all for the kind words. I was quite pleased with the way it turned out. Just stripped the colors in groups of 6 warm and 6 cool colors, measured the width and then cut the strips into squares. hardest part was getting them all turned the right way. Finally got one right and then taped it to the wall so I could be sure all blocks would be the same, then chain pieced until it was done.
Thanks again for the compliments.

Just had to add my compliments to all the others. It is a beautiful quilt, I saw the fabric in our WalMart here and my creative juices started flowing, too. It is very interesting that someone else also saw the possibilities of their fabric! Your kids are quite lucky and I know they will enjoy the quilt

Thank you all for the compliments. It was actually one of the easiest quilts I have done. I quilted it in the ditch so it didn't take an eternity. My son was so anxious for me to get it done he could hardly stand it. They love it and it looks beautiful on their king size bed.
I have used some of the fabrics in it in another quilt. A Jungle quilt and my grandaughter picked out the two greens and the tan and gold to go around the center block with the jungle background and an animal in it. It also turned out really pretty. My dil is going to use in as a wall quilt in her bedroom which has really high ceilings.
