Let's see what you are working on
You guys are inspiring me to get sewing this weekend. I've been prepping to present on Modern quilts to my guild tomorrow and have been strictly Modern since March. Here is one "What if Frank L. Wright didn't have rulers?' it's hanging sideways.

I'm working on a quilt for my niece's wedding next spring. It's called Compelling Women by Jill Shaulis. Here are 23 of the 30 blocks needed for the body of the quilt. There will be sashing and two borders when it's finished at 57' x 66".

Everyone has such beautiful works in progress!
I am doing a Double Slice quilt for my mom’s friend. I love the fabric so much I almost want to keep it. ☺️ I pieced the back from trimmings on two other quilts. It’s my first pieced backing and I like the way it looks.

Watson, that is beautiful! I am a fan of those colors, too. I am interested in your technique. If you have a tutorial that you can share, I would love to try it! Thanks for posting this thread....this will be fun to follow!

copycat...the technique is from Strips and Curves by Louisa Smith. There are a number of videos and, if you're a member of The Quilt Show, the author is on there a couple of times.
Personally, I didn't find the book helpful and wouldn't suggest it unless you can get it cheap or are a draftsperson, because a lot of it is explaining how to draft your own templates and was way above my head. You could just draw up your own templates, IMO. I did and then had them cut out of acrylic. It does have some beautiful pictures in it of finished quilts.
If you read what you can on the 'net you will figure out the process of using the templates on the fabric "strata".
