How nice. I could kick myself and you all should too. I had my grandmother's treadle when I first started sewing. Didn't realize what I had and sold it to buy my first machine! What I wouldn't give now to have it back.

Congrats! It is beautiful and in great condition! My sister-in-law used to do magnificent machine embroidery on a machine like that. Enjoy it!

That is beautiful, I have never seen a treadle in that type of cabinet.

What a find. I've never seen one with the treadle encased like that and I'm 81. It had to be the top of the line in its day. Check the Singer site to find out the year it was made and maybe some history about it. It makes me think it might have been made in England because of the cabinetry. Many Singers were made in England.
