You can also continue the pattern on the sides only to make it wider. That way you don't need a border - just a binding.

    Nicely done!

I don't really have a suggestion as to your borders, but wanted to tell you that you've done a fantastic job & your quilt is beautiful. I love the colors. Please post a picture when you have it all finished.

Very gorgeous! Do you have enough background fabric left to do a few pieced rows with just the background fabric and then finish off with floral? The colors may be different on my monitor, but I wouldn't choose light blue. By what I'm seeing I'm picking up a darker tone from the floral and think a light blue might through the whole thing off.

How about a narrow solid border, then 2nd border of squares
like used in the middle part of the quilt?

You could always go ahead and add the borders and make it longer.... just tuck more under the pillow. Just a suggestion.
    Beautiful quilt!!

I appreciate any and All suggestions.

I guess I am leaning towards making the blocks to go down each side....good thing I like making log cabin blocks, huh? The quilt will be larger than I wanted....wish I had used narrower stips to start with.

Then I think I'll just do the blue border ( the color of the blue in the border matches the lighest blue in the floral fabric). I feel like I want a frame around the top. Then a narrow border of light floral???? And dark floral for binding????
