What a wonderful quilt. The story with it is great. Now everyone has a quilt to remember grandma. That was so sweet of you. You did a great job.

Very nice. It's nice you were able to spread "Grannie's" work around to the entire family.

As I study the picture of your precious quilt, I notice that you did cross-hatching for the quilting. I know some will probably snicker when I ask this lame question, but I want to know. Do you cross-hatch before appliqueing the Sues, or do you cross-hatch through everything after it is done, or do you go around the Sues? I told you it was a lame question.

I made the squares with Sue on them and then penciled my lines on the completed top. I cross hatched up to Sue and then stopped. Here's a pic of the back of the quilt.....the area where the name is is the back of a Sue. I did it this way instead of a label cause this one was going to the nursing home for my Grannie. There may have been a better way to do it but I did it like this cause it seemed most reasonable to me. Like I said this was my first and I taught myself as I went.

I think it's great. And it's so very neat. I would not have known how to do it.
