That is so pretty. She was a wonderful quilter. What a treasure! If it made you happy to see it, find a place for it where you can see it. Enjoy it. I bet your grandmother wouldn't want it hidden away.
I just went back to see it again. It is a truly beautiful quilt.

What a shame that all that fabulous work sits hidden away. I can understand you wanting it to last but did your grandmother envisage it wrapped around you as a symbol of her love or put away.

A classic! Very well taken care of, also. I have alot of my MIL's quilts that were quilted in the 1940's-1950's and they quilters then had a sense of pride with their works.
