Martina I am so glad to see how far you have come with these blocks.
I remember when they first started and the fun you all had in the making and talking of them.
Glad you have continued and will finish.
Your talent, artistry and CREATIVITY speak for it's self.

I think this is terrible and I think the administer should take it off. Know wonder the world is in such a bad shape. Quilting in it's history is for positive and not horrible things like this.
These kind of comments really DUMB FOUND me.
It reminds me of the people who are stuck in a traffic jam and when they finally get moving and get to the scene of the accident go ever so slowly just to see the blood, guts and gore !!

How many ways can you kill Sunbonnet Sue? This post is like the woman who shot her boyfriend, stabbed him 27 times and then slit his throat ear to ear. Guess she had the same sense of warped humor. I find this post very disturbing and equally disturbing are the people who think it is funny. I think it sends the wrong message to our children and future quilters!!! Quilting is suppose to be positive, not evil.

how the heck you could even compare these 2 circumstances
is so beyond what my brain can even comprehend what the
heck you are even thinking.

Well Mad more power to you !!!!

And wouldn't you know I was just telling my friends how the quilting board was all sweetness and light...lol, I love Mad Quilter's art work. I also understand how some could be offended. Some people hate Halloween, but it's my fav holiday. I think kids "get it" for the most part. I can't stand a lot of movies, eg. "Pulp Fiction", I walked out after 20 minutes, but half the theater was laughing at it. My daughter's favorite childhood movie was "Labyrinth"with David Bowie. We consider it to be a classic, but my best friend in the world thought it was horrid and vowed her grandchildren would have nightmares if they ever saw it. I think boils down to personal experience and attitude which is hard to see online. Quilt on...

I think it sends the wrong message to our children and future quilters!!! life has been sending the wrong message to people for a very long time. the days of parents raising their children went by the wayside a long, long time ago when they allowed TV's, computers and the streets raise their kids instead of doing the job them selves. Evil has multiplied so rapidly because so many don't take responsiblity for raising what they have chosen to give birth to. they grow up being abused and unloved and end up evil monsters. yes there has always been evil but not to the extent it is now a days. Quilting is suppose to be positive, not evil.

Sorry, if I offend, but I see no humor in death or torture of a classic quilt icon or any other character or being.
Just voicing my personal opinion, like you said "we are all allowed are own thoughts, feelings, and varying views."
I have nothing more to say about this matter! Just wanted to have the chance to voice my feelings, as well as, others have theirs. Being for or against!...

Dear Memereo8,
Yes I posted this and I had no intentions of "saying anything else about this matter," BUT since you have chosen to make (what I felt was) a personal attack on me, I have a few things to put on here to answer YOU! I for 1 am NOT a Hypocrite! I practice what I preach and believe, I do not in anyway try to force my beliefs on anyone. I don't believe I am better than anyone else, but do feel some people act in a manner that shows no character. I stated everyone is allowed to have their own thoughts, feelings and varying views. I stated also that I was just "taking the chance to voice my feelings , as well as, others have theirs. Being for or against!..." My DH and I dress up every year for Halloween in our neighborhood our house is one of the favorites to alot of children and adults. Pictures are often taken of us and our decorations with several groups each year. We decorate for all the holidays. Easter, July4th, Halloween, Fall, and Christmas seem to be favorites in general to everyone. If you think Raggedy Ann and Andy are scary to youngsters then I can only imagine how the TERROR of youngsters sleeping under a killing quilt could distress a young child! Now with this being said not to be an attack on you or anyone else, to each their own. I have also stated that although I do not find the quilt in question my taste, I do find it to be very creative and Madquilter is very talented!.... Please, don't make personal attacks on people YOU DO NOT KNOW! I happen to be a God fearing lady, (a Minister's daughter) I admit I am not perfect and I'm a retired nurse, who cares for everyone in a non-judgmental fashion.

Dear Dreamer 2009,
Actually, what I said was "I have nothing more to say about this matter!" I also stated how everyone has the right to state their feelings and views. I never said I wasn't looking at this thread again. I like to read and see others views and opinions. I am not trying to start trouble, I respect everyone's views. That's why I'm hanging around. Which I think is the reason alot of us are. I have stated before and will again this quilt is not my taste( my taste in quilts may not be yours), but I find her to be very creative and talented.

Allright kids, enough!

Like I said earlier, I appreciate everyone's comments. We need to keep a decent tongue here (probably not all "sweetness" but a certain decorum must be kept). People who disagree with my pics can voice their opinion as long as they do not resort to personal attacks. People who like my pics and get my humor can voice their support as long as they don't bash the opposition. This has been a controversial but civil thread for the most part and I'd like to keep it that way.

How about one round of {{{{Hugs}}} I promise that I don't have any implements of destruction in my hand or pocket.

That is so funny because I have yet to watch Pulp Fiction - couldn't make it through the first 15 minutes and I love Labyrinth - actually own that one. What a great message in that movie and as the older sister I can totally relate. Now I must admit that I also love the Kill Bill movies and they make me lol but I have absolutely no use for Seinfeld, Adam Sandler, and the 3 Stooges. Go figure.

Oh my!!! how absolutely stunning your blocks are and what great imagination!.The blocks are too funny for words.

I have read this entire thread and was greatly entertained by all the comments both positive and negative. My only comment is that anything creative, is something to be admired.

I loved the kill bill movies also lol. I love excitement, mystery, adventure and suspense. I also watch the Mid Summer Murders ahahahahhahahahaha
