 Looks great. You should be proud I know that your son will be. My first quilt was for my grandson and I felt that there were many mistakes. I also tied it because I have trouble getting the quilt in my machine and he loves it. He also loves touching the ties. He now thinks that I am an awesome quilt maker. (I am not but I'm working on it and I will not tell him anything different).

I think it was on this forum I found a mention of using a carpenter's metal square. I have one of DH's and did like suggested, washed it well and can now use it to help square nearly anything, wood or fabric. It covers a lot of the lap quilts
and would sure help a bigger one.
