I used Pellon fusible fleece but the bag is so big, it does stand up but is a bit flopping, it may be the leather handles. I did just use the starch and that seem to help a bit. I still may try a stiffer spray. I love your bag. The pictures you put on the fabric are awesome!

On a large bag I would probably suggest two layers of the fusible fleece. One on the outer bag and one on the lining. I have a pattern for a large bag and that is what it calls for.

Love your bag. A fusible fleece, batting, interfacing etc. will making it stiffer as the fabric won't move at much. Soft and Stable is another option. Starch will just wear off thru use. You can also use a stiffer heavy fabric for the lining.
