It is a beautiful quilt and you have every right to be proud of it. It's your quilt so you can make any color you want to.

The quilt is beautiful and great choice of colors. Teachers are not always right they only have an opinion as far as I am concerned.

That is BEAUTIFUL. Color is always an opinion. I happen to agree with yours.

The teacher should have kept her preferences to herself. This quilt pattern definitely lends itself to scrap fabrics. Your concept of this quilt patten is perfect.

I teach and I think NO teacher should force an opinion on anyone..we're suppose to be there for guidance and self expression..at least that's the way I put it out there !! I remember 1 lady entered my class (Reflections) with what I thought (to myself) her fabric was ugly..lol..it turned into a thing of beauty when it was finished..never let anyone discourage creativity !!

Beautiful quilt. Keep in mind that when you are making a quilt, it's your quilt and you can do it however you want. I wonder how many good quilters-to-be were turned away from quilting by that teacher.
