Super, love the shelves, everything is out where you can see it and easily able to pick your fabrics. I am so jealous, can I come and play in your room. Yes where did you get those fabric boards and were they expensive?

What a nice room you've made ... great job - love your pretty curtains too

I'm working on MY new quilting room - my oldest kiddo is out of the nest now, and I'm taking her room !

I've spent 2 weekends painting and sorting through old stuff, now it's time to move in and get organized !

The mini bolts are great - I LOVE them - they're the greatest thing since the rotary cutter !

Thanks for the inspiration & happy sewing ! :)

I love the room and I love your table. I could use one just like it, can you tell me what brand that is?

What are the measurements of those fabric boards. I couldn't find them on ebay, wow so many pages, also did a search for them and couldn't find them that way. So I thought I would go to the source. Thanks for any help you can give me.

No I thought the fabric boards were quite reasonable (particularly if you buy in quantity) and I love them. I bought them here:

    http://stores.ebay.com/GwimpyLous

Look on the left side and click on Sewing and Quilting.

Gwen, a single mom and sister to fellow member MistyMarie is the owner. She is wonderful to deal with.

I bought the 8' x 11 3/4" size (in qty's of 48), as well as the Fat Quarter size (qty. 50)

My sewing table is made by Horn of America. I bought it about 10 years ago when we lived in Denver, but they still carry a similar one, in fact an improved model. It is called Quilters Dream or something like that. It has the hydraulic lift which I really like because I can raise it when I need to attach my embroidery unit, or lower it to do normal sewing. You can lower the machine down completely and drop in the insert piece so the top is solid. Also the portion that is behind my machine will fold down (like cutting tables do) so the entire unit then measures 60" wide x 19 1/2" deep. They are pricey, but you only buy it once LOL.

   Too funny! No, when I am working on something my cutting table is fully open and covered with fabric, rulers, patterns,...you name it. And I think I went to the Eleanor Burns school of quilting because like her I toss my scraps all over the floor.

I do clean up though between each project.

Thanks. I made the curtains during my Pansy period. There for awhile if I saw an embroidery design that was a Pansy, or fabric with pansies I had to have them.

I agree the "mini bolts" are wonderful. I actually found fabric I had forgotten about and it wasn't that my fabric was in a mess. They were all folded and stacked, but would get messy everytime I went to find a particular one. Now, everything stays perfect, and I think they decorate the room.

Good luck on getting your room just the way you want it, and post pictures so we all can see.
