I've sewed in close quarters before and it didn't seem so bad. Guess I was just glad I had a sewing machine and a place to sew. Now that I have my big quilt cave, I tend to get lost and sidetracked a lot. I have found, the bigger the space, the bigger the mess you can make, so if you keep it small, you don't have as much cleaning up to do. LOL! Enjoy sewing with your Mom. Her quilt is really pretty! Thanks for sharing with us.

I know exactly what you mean - I usually tend to make messes proportionate to the space available. ;) And having it in my bedroom gives me extra incentive to clean up periodically, since I need the space for other things! I definitely enjoy my current setup. It's a lot more functional than it used to be.

Nothing beats a quilting buddy. I love it when I can entice her in to sew. :-)

I believe when your inspired the size space doesn't matter.
I love your space. Your fw has a wonderful home where she's loved and used. Your mom's quilt is beautiful.
Enjoy,
simple quilter

Mom's quilt top is using a Bear Claw/Duck Foot block (I've seen it called both). Thank you!
