Mistakes - Shmistakes. I see nothing wrong with your quilt. very good job!

and I love the fact you are going to "use" it rather than just look at it. It will feel so good to know you put lots of time and love into every time you see it

You did a beautiful job. The print with the flowers is really striking. Thanks for showing us.

I think your "zero" quilt is great! You did a wonderful job and I love the matching bag. Your second quilt is great also. Pretty colors. You're doing good - keep going.

Welcome to the Board. I'm a newbie too. I have completed about a dozen or so quilts. I have been quilting less than 2 years and have learned the value of the QB. The support and encouragement are essential to your progress. These people are always kind and helpful and unselfishly share their expertise. Your first quilts look promising so try not to be too hard on yourself. Just see it as: Every mistake is a lesson learned! The quilting culture is filled with lifetime learners and much joy!

I threw away my first quilt. I think yours looks fine. What a challenge for your first quilt. Keep going - it gets better!

they are both very nice. It is good that you looked at the zero quilt as your practice quilt and where 'all possible mistakes could accumulate', but, I have been quilting for over 40 years and still my most used notion is my seam ripper! You will continue to make mistakes (less in size and severity) and you will keep learning from these errors. You will also learn which ones become design elements and do not need to be fixed. This comes with the territory. We learn new techniques, new patterns and new color combos all the time. And, with new things, comes new oopses!
